Gene Anthony Ray
Eugene "Gene " Ray Anthony ( born May 24, 1962 in Harlem, New York City; † 14 November 2003 in New York City ) was an American actor, dancer and choreographer.
Life
Gene Anthony Ray grew up in New York. There he attended the High School of Performing Arts and the Julia Richman High School. In 1980 he played the role of Leroy Johnson in the movie Fame - The path to glory. Between 1982 and 1987 he played the same role in the eponymous television series Fame - The path to glory. After that, he still appeared in several films as an actor and dancer.
Gene Anthony Ray died on 14 November 2003 of a stroke. He was infected with the HIV virus.
