After the dissolution of Epsilon McFadden and Whitehead founded 1971, the follow-up group Talk Of The Town, which was taken by the Philadelphia -songwriter duo Gamble & Huff for the label Philly International Records ( PIR) under contract. After persistent failure they retreated for the time being, however, in the background back to write after the Gamble & Huff - model for other artists songs and produce. Initial successes they landed with Bad Luck and Wake Up Everybody Harold Melvin for baking or Stabbers for The O'Jays. Other well-known " Philly " artists such as Teddy Pendergrass, Archie Bell, The Fortunes and The Jones Girls resorted to the duo.

Then it was quiet again by the duo, it was followed by some joint work, including for Willie Collins or the sons of John Whitehead - The Whitehead Brothers, but also as a songwriter they had their most successful period behind him; the end of the duo was heralded as Whitehead had to spend some time for tax fraud in prison.

In the 80s and 90s McFadden ( Never Been ) tried to connect to the old songwriter successes, but his name appeared only rarely on the hit parade, including in connection with Mary J. Blige, Freddie Jackson ( It's Gonna Take A Long, Long Time) or Destiny 's Child ( Is She The Reason ). In addition, there have been cover versions of Is not No Stoppin ' Us Now, among other things, the Spice Girls feat. Luther Vandross and If You Do not Know Me By Now, among other things, by Simply Red and Freddie Jackson.
