Geoff Billington

Geoff Billington ( born March 2, 1955 in Cheshire ) is a British show jumper.

Career

At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, he was with it's Otto in single sixth, 2000 in Sydney, he only made it to 24th place in the individual standings. 1997 Billington won as a team with John and Michael Whitaker, Robert Smith, and the bronze medal at the European Championships in Mannheim. At the World Championships in Rome in 1998, he won It's Otto also team bronze medal. Currently, he is out in the world rankings to rank 173. In 2007 he won the Hickstead Derby on Cassabachus.

Private

Billington is married and has five children, his eldest son James is also show jumping. The show jumping is known for his jokes. Among other things, Billington likes to take colleagues ' for a ride " by imitating their style of riding.
