Georg Caspar Wecker

Georg Caspar Wecker ( baptized April 2, 1632 in Nuremberg, † April 20, 1695 ibid ) was a German composer and organist of the Baroque.

Background and education

Alarm parents were Agnes, nee Schneider, and John Wecker, a professional gold spinner, who had received at least one musical education, since learning the musical fundamentals Georg Caspar Wecker from him. The Nuremberg composer and organist Johann Erasmus Kindermann was the alarm clock next teacher, in which he learned so much that he already got to play as a 16- year-old student in Nuremberg churches the organ. Alarm clock had been married in 1658 to Anna Maria laborers, with whom he had nine children.

Career

From 1651 Clock was his life organist at Nuremberg churches: from 1651 at St. Walburga 's Church, from 1658 as a successor to Paul Hainleins at St. Giles Church. As Hainlein died in 1686, alarm clock was again his successor, as an organist at the parish church of St. Sebald significant. He held until his death this point, and was succeeded by his pupil Johann Pachelbel. Among his pupils was also part Johann Krieger.
