Georg of Limburg

Count Georg von Limburg- Styrum (* 1500, † December 14, 1552 ) was a nobleman. By descent Count of Limburg, by inheritance to Mr. Styrum.

Descent

George was a son of Count Adolf of Limburg- Styrum (* 1450, † October 20, 1506 ) and his wife Elizabeth of rich stone (* 1460, † April 30, 1529 ).

Marriage and issue

Georg married on January 7, 1539 Countess Irmgard (* 1505, † May 10, 1587 ), daughter of Henry V of wiping and Walburg of the Bergh. The marriage ended in divorce. They had the following children:

  • Georg Hermann (* 1540 in Borculo, † August 27, 1574 )
  • Anna Maria (c. 1543; † November 2, 1637 at Burg Reifferscheid )
  • Catherine ( * 1545, † January 22, 1572 ) canoness to St. Ursula in Cologne, Küsterin to Vreden and Abbess 1564 at Borg Horst
