George Ashley Campbell

George Ashley Campbell ( born November 27, 1870 in Hastings, Minnesota, † November 10, 1954 ) was an American communications engineer and besides Karl Willy Wagner co-founder of the theory of electrical filters.

He graduated from MIT in 1891 and acquired in 1893 the master at Harvard University. He then spent three years with study work in Göttingen, Vienna and Paris. In 1897 he went to American Telephone & Telegraph. In 1901 he received a PhD degree.

In 1940 he received the AIEE Edison Medal.
