George Blake (athlete)

George Blake ( George Bernard Blake, born September 4, 1878 in St. Kilda, Victoria, † February 6, 1946 in Cheltenham, Victoria) was an Australian middle and long distance runners.

At the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens, he came sixth in the five-mile run and the marathon. About 1500 m he left in the flow. Two years later, he failed at the Olympic Games in London over five miles in advance. In the marathon he gave after the collision with a cyclist to hurt. In the Australasian Championships he was over three miles three times a second (1901, 1904, 1909) and third once (1908 ).
