George Chuter

George Chuter ( born July 9, 1976 in London ) is an English rugby union player. He plays as a hooker for the English national team and the Leicester Tigers.

Chuters professional career began in 1996 when the Saracens. He put on his debut a try for England A, the reserve of the national team. In 2000 he moved to the Leicester Tigers and was used in the years to come sporadically in England reserve. With the Tigers, he won five previous title in the Guinness Premiership and the Heineken Cup twice and once the EDF Energy Cup.

In 2006, he was first appointed to the National team squad. With the Six Nations, he still came to no use, his debut was followed in the summer against Australia. Since then, he belongs to the extended circle. At the 2007 World Championships he came in all seven games for use. In the summer of 2008, he was not considered for the New Zealand tour of England, played for England Saxons in the Churchill Cup and helped to defend these as captain.

In the 2008 /09 season he was accepted back into the elite squad, but came to no use. With Leicester he was English champion this season and reached the final in the Heineken Cup. There, the Tigers were defeated Leinster, however.
