George Goulding

George Henry Goulding ( born November 16, 1884 in Kingston upon Hull, England; † January 31, 1966 in Toronto ) was a Canadian athlete.

At the Olympic Games in 1908 George Goulding competed in three disciplines. In going over 3500 meters, it was ranked fourth in the train going over 10 miles, he gave up in the preliminaries. In the marathon, he finished 22nd in 3:33:26 hours.

Four years later at the Olympic Games in 1912 he won the preliminaries in the 10,000 - meter track Go before the British Ernest Webb. In the final, Webb was the only one who could follow the pace of Goulding halfway, and won silver. Goulding won gold in 46:28,4 minutes, the first official world record at this track.
