Georges Groussard

Georges Groussard ( born March 22, 1937 in La Chapelle- Janson ) is a former French cyclist.

Georges Groussard was a professional racing car driver 1960 until 1967. He won various smaller races, mainly in France, by 1960 the Circuit du Morbihan. In 1961 he was third in the Tour de Luxembourg and 1964, second in the French championship road. Seven times he competed in the Tour de France; In 1964, he wore the yellow jersey for ten days and was fifth overall.

Georges Groussard is a younger brother of cyclist Joseph Groussard. In France, a public races is named La Georges Groussard after him, that is in Fougères, not far from his birthplace, held annually since 1996.
