Castle Georghausen is a moated castle in the district Georghausen the community Lindlar, Oberbergisches district of North Rhine -Westphalia ( Germany ).
1466, both the place and the castle Georghausen and a mill was mentioned in documents for the first time as " Georghausen ". There, the acquisition and construction of the house Georghausen describes what must, however, have taken place before that date.
1490/91 a new drawbridge for the water tower was built and in 1500 the house was extended with a slate roof. It was also mentioned that there was a castle chapel in Georghausen.
1830 was noted in the " Topographic- Statistical Description of the Royal Prussian Rhine province," the knight's seat Georghausen had a mill and 56 inhabitants.
Since 1951, the castle serves as a clubhouse with a golf course is open during the summer restaurant.
