Georgina Cates
Georgina Cates ( born January 14, 1975 in Colchester, England; native Clare Woodgate ) is a British actress.
Life and achievements
Cates made his debut in 1991 in the British television series 2point4 Children. In the film drama An Awfully Big Adventure (1995 ) she starred opposite Hugh Grant. For this role she was nominated in 1996 for the London Critics Circle Film Award.
In the war drama The Warrior ( 1998) Cates played the role of Marianne, a civilian and friend of the soldier Fossie ( Skeet Ulrich), who wants to fight in hand against the Vietnamese with the weapon. In the British-Indian comedy Stiff Upper Lips ( 1998) she appeared in a larger role alongside Peter Ustinov. Larger roles she played also in the black comedy Clay Pigeons - Pigeons (1998) with Joaquin Phoenix and - opposite Julie Delpy, Daniel Baldwin, Alfred Molina and Michael York - in the comedy Some Like other (1998). In the film drama Sinner (2007), who qualified for numerous film festivals, it took next to Nick Chinlund one of the main roles.
Cates was married in 1997 to 2005 Skeet Ulrich. She has two children.
