Gerald du Maurier

Gerald du Maurier ( born March 26, 1873 in London, England, † April 11, 1934 ) was an English theater director, stage and film actor.

Life

Gerald du Maurier was the son of the writer and illustrator George du Maurier.

The first roll you got in 1894 at the Garrick Theatre Maurier. Fame earned him the role in the play The Admirable Crichton by JM Barrie in 1902. He also played the Captain Hook in the premiere of Barrie's play Peter Pan in 1904. From 1910 to 1925 he was head of the Wyndham 's Theatre.

In 1922 he was knighted for his services.

Du Maurier was the father of writer Daphne du Maurier.
