Gerald Ketchum

Gerald Ketchum ( born December 5, 1908 in Bellingham, Washington; † August 22, 1992 in Plano, Texas) was an American Antarctic explorer. He served in the U.S. Navy and took over as Commander in Operation Windmill, an Antarctic expedition from 1947 to 1948, in part, with him 500 men were assumed. Ketchum Ridge was named after him.
