Gerbitz is a district of the city Nienburg ( Saale) in a salt land district, in Saxony -Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

Gerbitz is about 7 km northeast of the county town Bernburg (Saale ). The village consists of a " Altdorf " and an established after the Second World War housing development. In the district of the district Gerbitz - on the road to Latdorf - is a highly recognizable beer mountain on which an existing sandstone blocks megalithic tomb is located. History

The first documentary proof of the place comes from the January 9, 1324, when Duke Rudolf I of Saxony the monastery Nienburg donated goods in Gerbitz.

Attractions

The Church of Gerbitz dates from 1890 and is built in red bricks. The brick building has a slender tower with a pointed roof on the four other turrets are mounted.
