Gerbitz is a district of the city Nienburg ( Saale) in a salt land district, in Saxony -Anhalt, Germany.
Geography
Gerbitz is about 7 km northeast of the county town Bernburg (Saale ). The village consists of a " Altdorf " and an established after the Second World War housing development. In the district of the district Gerbitz - on the road to Latdorf - is a highly recognizable beer mountain on which an existing sandstone blocks megalithic tomb is located. The highest point on the ground the district represents the " peak high " represents a wooded hill, which was formerly used as a gravel pit.
History
The first documentary proof of the place comes from the January 9, 1324, when Duke Rudolf I of Saxony the monastery Nienburg donated goods in Gerbitz.
Due to a change in the contract area, the municipal council of the municipality Gerbitz decided on 27 February 2008 that the community Gerbitz in the city Nienburg ( Saale) is incorporated. After incorporation of the previously independent community Gerbitz is Gerbitz district of the city Nienburg ( Saale). For powered finished my community the village constitution according to § § 86 et seq of the Municipal Code of Saxony- Anhalt is introduced. The municipality is my finished Gerbitz and future district Gerbitz is the village of the host city Nienburg ( Saale). In the eingemeindeten community and nunmehrigen village Gerbitz a Ortschaftsrat is formed with seven members including a mayor.

The coat of arms was designed in 1993 by Jörg Kommunalheraldiker Mantzsch and admitted to the approval process.
Attractions
The Church of Gerbitz dates from 1890 and is built in red bricks. The brick building has a slender tower with a pointed roof on the four other turrets are mounted. Also worth seeing is the megalithic grave Bierberg, a passage grave of hewn sandstone blocks. The megalithic tombs in the region, inter alia, in Drosa and Wulfen, Bernburger culture be attributed.

North of the village the main road is 185, Bernburg (Saale ) to Köthen (Anhalt). The A14 motorway from Halle ( Saale) leads to Magdeburg is located west of Gerbitz.
