Gerhard Engel

Gerhard Engel ( born April 13, 1906 in Guben, † December 9, 1976 in Munich) was a German officer, played Lieutenant General during World War II.

Life

His memories of the time at his headquarters published in 1974 in book form and are an important source dar. However, keep in mind that they were largely written from memory.

After his release, he was manager of a sugar factory in Noervenich and then a machine tool factory in Dusseldorf. He also led a fellowship ring of the former 12th Division. He also served from April 1958 to December 9, 1976 the State Commissioner of the Society for Military customer in North Rhine -Westphalia.
