German Film Award for Best Documentary Film
Since 2000, the German Film Prize is awarded Best program feature-length documentary on outstanding German documentary films in the category. Previously were documentaries as well as feature films awarded a film strip in gold or silver.
Currently, a Film Awards in Gold for Best Documentary: committed (doping 200,000 euros ). The other nominated films will receive a prize of 100,000 Euros. In 2012 the number was increased to nominations from two to three.
