Gertrud de Lalsky

Gertrud de Lalsky, Gertrude De Lalsky ( born January 27, 1878 in Gdansk, † 16 September1958 in Berlin) was a German actress.

Life

She has appeared in 1899 Resemann 's Ensemble in New York and played since 1900 at the Stadttheater Krefeld. Further stages of her career in the theater were stages in Dresden, Vienna, Hamburg and Frankfurt am Main.

Since 1923, Gertrud de Lalsky belonged permanently to fill various venues in Berlin, for example at the Art Theatre, Renaissance Theater, Comedy House and Plaza Theatre. At the German silent film, she first leading lady. In one of her first films, Catherine the Great (1920 ) she played Elisabeth, Empress of Russia, in three of the four Fridericus Rex movies 1921-1923 Sophia Dorothea, Queen of Prussia. In later years, Gertrud de Lalsky was a frequently occupied Supporting Actress in German film.
