Gertrude Aretz

Gertrude Aretz ( born October 18, 1889 in Dresden, † January 1938 in Vienna) was a German historian.

Life

Gertrude Aretz, born Kuntze Dolton, has been dealing with biographies of famous historical figures. In 1912 came her work " The women around Napoleon " under the name Gertrude church iron. Posthumously published " Famous Women of World History" (1940 ), they also wrote popular science writings: " Lieselotte von der Pfalz ", " Elizabeth of England ," etc. 1912 Memoirs of Madame de Stael -Holstein had already appeared. In 1927 she published the memoirs of Auguste Charlotte of Kielmannsegge.

Gertrude Aretz was married in first marriage to Friedrich Max Kirch iron and in second marriage to publisher Paul Aretz.
