Ghalib

Mirza Ghalib (* presumably December 27, 1797 in Agra, † February 15, 1869 in Delhi ) is known as Mirza Asadullah Beg Khan Ghalib, or, was an Indian poet of Turkish descent. He is one of the most famous and popular poets to this day in the Urdu language. Some of his poems are in India and Pakistan to general education. According to tradition, he adopted the name of poet Ghalib ( " Outstanding" ); However, his birth name is Mirza Asadullah Beg Khan.

Life

His native town is Agra where he was born as the son of Turkish nobles. At thirteen, he was married into a wealthy family and he left Agra to spend the rest of his life in Delhi. All his children died early. When he began to write poems, is unknown.

1850 was the last Mughal emperor Bahadur Ghalib Shah Zafar a title and came to his court. In 1854 he was appointed poetry teacher of the Emperor and the Crown Prince. However, Emperor Bahadur Shah was a pensioner of England's graces, and his reign lasted essentially only on the Red Fort in Delhi. Ghalib poet feud with the court poet Zauq seems to spring more to his profession as a personal enmity.

Through the rebellion of 1857 and the following deposition of Emperor Bahadur Shah Ghalib lost these items. He had inherited from his uncle, a pension to the extension he had to litigate. To this end, he traveled to Calcutta, but only after years his pension was awarded. Through his insistence on an aristocratic lifestyle, including drinking and gambling Ghalib was often strapped for cash. Finally, he was supported by the Nawab of Rampur. Ghalib died in 1869 in Delhi.

Work
