Ghaziabad (Hindi: ग़ाज़ियाबाद, Urdu: غازی آباد; Ġāziyābād [ ɣa ː ː ba ː zɪja d]) is a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India with about 1.6 million inhabitants ( 2011 census ). It is a satellite city of Delhi and is just 30 kilometers east of the city center of Delhi at the underway channel. The industry of the city consists largely of metal processing and electrical industry.
