Gheorghe Tătaru

Gheorghe Tătaru ( born May 5, 1948 in Bucharest, † December 19, 2004 in Iaşi ) was a Romanian football player. He played 272 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A, and participated in the 1970 World Cup.

Career

Gheorghe Tătaru began at the age of 11 years at Steaua Bucharest with the football games. In 1967 he was inducted into the first team and played on September 10, 1967 his first game in Divizia A. With Steaua he experienced the most successful period of his career. In 1968 he won the Romanian Championship, 1969 and 1971 the Romanian Cup. In 1971 he was also top scorer in the Divizia A. Then began his star - like the Steaua - to decline. Tătaru get fewer hits, in the 1973/74 season even only one, after which he came to less inserts. He then joined Chimia Ramnicu Valcea, that was just gained in the Divizia A.

After descending 1975 Tătaru moved to CS Târgoviste in the Divizia B, where he managed to return in 1977, the highest Romanian league. National

Tătaru completed 10 games for the Romanian national team.
