Ghirardelli Chocolate Company

The Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is since January 1998 a subsidiary of Lindt & Sprüngli, Switzerland.

The company Ghiradelli was founded on June 18, 1852 in San Francisco, California by Italian chocolatier Domingo Ghirardelli after its first store in Stockton ( California). His tent shops burned a short time later after the other, so that he firmly settled in San Francisco with Cairo Coffee House in September of the same year.
