Gianbernardino Scotti

Gianbernardino Scotti (. O.Theat ) (* 1478 in Magliano Sabina, † December 11, 1568 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

The Theatinermönch Scotti belonged to the papal diplomacy, returned at the age of this function from Germany and became the Archbishop of Trani in Italy and on the same day, December 20, 1555 by Pope Paul IV elevated to cardinal. In 1556 he received the title as cardinal priest of San Matteo in Merulana. He was transferred in 1559 as Archbishop - Bishop to Piacenza. Scotti was involved in the reform work for Tridentinerkonzil.
