Gianni di Venanzo

Gianni di Venanzo ( born December 18, 1920 in Teramo, † January 3, 1966 in Rome ) was an Italian cinematographer.

Life

Gianni di Venanzo began his film career as an assistant to cinematographers like Massimo Terzano, Otello Martelli and Aldo Tonti. After he had taken responsibility as chief cameraman, di Venanzo collaborated with the most important Italian directors of the 50s and 60s such as Luchino Visconti, Carlo Lizzani, Michelangelo Antonioni and Francesco Rosi.
