Giannis Gravanis

Giannis Gravanis ( born January 16, 1958 in Domokos, † April 30, 2012 in Patras ) was a Greek football player and coach.

Career

Gravanis began playing football in his home Domokos, before he got a professional contract with Panionios Athens in July 1977. On 10 January 1978 he made ​​his debut in the Alpha Ethniki, the top division in Greece. With his team he won the 1978/79 the Hellenic Football Cup. In 1982 he stood for three games in the squad of the Greek national football team. After 269 games for Panionios Athens, where he scored 14 goals, he moved in 1988 to Panachaiki, where he, however, only a year was under contract and only six games played. In 1989 he made his way to Patras, where he later his active career ended.

On April 30, 2012, he died in Patras his cancer.
