Panachaiki F.C.

Panachaiki Gymnastiki Enosi (PGE ) is a sports club based in Patras, which was established in 1891. The football, the athletic section, which has won numerous Olympic medals are the most successful. Other sections include volleyball, basketball and boxing.

The flagship player of the association was Kostas Davourlis, the captain of the team that stunned the football fans in Greece in the 1970s. Their best finish in the first division, it reached in 1973 with the fourth place, the authorized to participate in the UEFA Cup in 1973/74. The team retired in the second round against FC Twente Enschede.
