Pierikos F.C.

Pierikos Katerini or P.S.F.K. is a football club based in Katerini, Greece.

History

The club was founded on April 11, 1961 by the merger of Megas Alexandros Katerini Katerini and Olympos. Megas Alexandros played in the season 1959/60 still in the Super League, but the season ended in 15th and were relegated to the second-rate Football League.

The two clubs could also have the following year no success. They saw the merger as the only way to have a team of Katerini in the Super League. The new club was named Pierikos Katerini.
