Giant Bicycles
Giant Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (Chinese捷安特, Pinyin Jiéāntè ) was founded in 1972 in Tachia, Taichung County, Republic of China on Taiwan, and is now the largest producer of two-wheelers. Since 1980, Giant is the largest bicycle manufacturer in Taiwan. Giant is now regarded as the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world with production facilities in Taiwan, the People's Republic of China and Europe (Netherlands). Due to the specialization of the company in the design, development and manufacturing giant is also a partner for other brand manufacturers around the world.
Sports activities
Giant was and is the official supplier of several cycling teams, including of Once, the T-Mobile team, as well as from the Columbia team and the team Rabobank. With the start of the 2013 season Giant was the main sponsor of Team Giant - Shimano.
Bicycle frame made of carbon fibers
Giant is one of the pioneers in the manufacture of bicycle frames made of carbon fibers ( "Carbon" ).
