Gillian Apps

Gillian Mary Apps ( born November 2, 1983 in Unionville, Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player.

Career

Gillian Apps began her career as a hockey players at Dartmouth College, which she attended from 2003 to 2007 and left with a degree in psychology. Then she joined the Brampton Thunder, for which it has since then played in the professional Canadian Women's Hockey League.

Internationally

For Canada took part in the Apps World Championships in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009. In addition, she stood in the line-up of their country at the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin, 2010 in Vancouver and 2014 in Sochi. In the years 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, she participated each with their team at the 4 Nations Cup.

Family

Gillian Apps comes from a well-known sportsmen family. Her grandfather Syl Apps, her father Syl Apps Jr. and her brother Syl Apps III were all professional hockey players. Her sister Amy Apps is a Canadian football national team. My cousin Darren Barber won a gold medal in rowing at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.
