Giorgio La Malfa
Giorgio La Malfa ( born October 13, 1939 in Milan ) is an Italian politician of the Partito Repubblicano Italiano.
Life
His father was of Italian politicians Ugo La Malfa. La Malfa studied law. From 1980 to 1982 he was budget minister from 1987 to 1993 he was party secretary in the Partito Repubblicano Italiano, but in 1993 withdrew politically initially loops back after a corruption scandal in his party. 1994 La Malfa returned back to the party politics and since 2001 President of the Partito Repubblicano Italiano. From 1989 to 1999 he was a deputy in the European Parliament. From 2001 to 2005 La Malfa was president of the Economic Commission of the Camera dei deputati. From April 2005 to April 2006, he was Minister for the Affairs of the European Union until the government coalition lost its majority. 2006 succeeded La Malfa in the parliamentary elections of re-entry as a deputy in the Camera dei deputati.
