Giovanna Volpato

Giovanna Volpato ( born August 20, 1975) is an Italian marathon runner.

In 2002 she won the Maratona di Sant'Antonio and finished at the European Championships in Munich, ranked twelfth in the marathon. The following year she finished seventh at the Paris Marathon in the spring. A few months later, she returned to the Athletics World Championships in 2003 in the French capital back, reached there but only 43rd place

In 2006, she was second in the Treviso Marathon. In the same year she won the European Championships in Gothenburg in a personal best of 2:32:04 h the eighth. The marathon race at the World Athletics Championships 2007 in Osaka had Volpato to retire because of a hamstring injury. In 2008 she won the Florence Marathon, the Venice Marathon 2009, she was eighth.

Giovanna Volpata is 1,69 m tall and has a competition weight of 48 kg.
