Giovanni Battista Consiglieri

Giovanni Battista Consiglieri (* 1491 in Rome; † August 25, 1559 in Rome ) was a Cardinal.

After studying the literature, the Latin and Greek languages, he married. From this marriage two daughters were born.

When his wife died, Consiglieri entered the church service. He was cleric of the diocese of Rome, Apostolic prothonotary and President of the Apostolic Chamber. Pope Paul IV raised him on March 15, 1557 and made him a cardinal on March 24, 1557 Cardinal Deacon of the titular church of S. Lucia in Septisolio. On December 16, 1558, he moved to the titular church of San Nicola in Carcere.
