Giovanni Tedesco
Giovanni Tedesco ( born May 13, 1972 in Palermo ) is a retired Italian footballer and current manager of the team U.S. Palermo.
His brother Giacomo Tedesco is also a professional football player.
Career
Giovanni Tedesco began playing football at Reggina Calcio. 1990 managed the midfielder made it into the first team. After three years, two of them in Serie C1, and one in Serie B, Tedesco moved to Fiorentina and helped the club to promotion to Serie A in which he made his debut on 4 September 1994. From 1995 to 1997 Tedesco played for the U.S. Foggia, in the 1997/98 season he was at Salernitana Sport under contract.
In October 1998, Tedesco moved to AC Perugia, where he became a leading player and was at times also captain. In January 2004 he went to Genoa in Serie B, and rose with the team on in the season 2004/ 05. Because of bribery Genoa was refused in 1893 the rise and the team in 2005 /06 forcibly transferred in the Serie C1. Tedesco was the first club faithful, moved in January 2006, however, in his hometown of Palermo.
On January 8, 2006 Tedesco made his debut for Palermo in his total of 500 competitive match as a professional. In July 2010, he ended his active career, and took over the position of team manager for the U.S. Palermo.
