Girolamo Forabosco
Gerolamo Forabosco, also Girolamo, (* 1604, † 1679 in Padua ) is an Italian painter of the Baroque.
He came from Padua or Venice and worked in Padua and Venice. He was listed from 1634 to 1639 in a Venetian painters' guild and 1640-1644 in the tax register of Venice.
He was a student of Padovanino and took this as the Venetian painters of the 16th century as a model, but was also influenced by the Venetian contemporaries Bernardo Strozzi and Sebastiano Mazzoni. Some portraits of women in gorgeous clothes later earned him the reputation of having been a painter of Venetian courtesans.
Gregorio Lazzarini was one of his students.
