Giuseppe Dessì

Giuseppe Dessi ( born August 7, 1909 in Villacidro, Sardinia, † July 6, 1977 in Rome ) was an Italian writer who had in 1972 for his novel Paese d' Ombre (1972 ) received the Premio Strega and the Premio named after the Dessi is.

Life

Dessi completed post-school studies in literature at the University of Pisa, which he completed in 1936. He then worked as a teacher and as an employee of the school administration.

He made ​​his literary debut in 1939 with the novel La sposa in città, the numerous other novels followed.
