Glænø

Glænø is a Danish island on the edge of the Smålandsfarvandet ( German Smålandshavet ). The island separates Holsteinsborg Nor and Nor Basnæs of the Karrebæksminder Bay, is 6.8 km long, 2.1 km wide and has an area of 559 acres 51 inhabitants (1 January 2013). In the north of the island is connected by a causeway to Sjælland.
The island is part of the parish community (Danish: Sogn ) Ørslev Sogn, which belonged to Harde Vester Flakkebjerg Herred in the former Soro office until 1970, then to Skaelskoer municipality in the former Vestsjællands office, with the municipal reform on 1 January 2007 in Slagelse Kommune has risen in the region of Sjælland.
