Glenkiln Sculpture Park

Glenkiln Sculpture Park is a sculpture garden / sculpture on the outskirts of Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland.

History

The sculpture collection was created in 1951 before the estate of the Keswick family by Sir William Keswick. Glenkiln is around the Glenkiln Reservoir, located about 10 miles from Dumfries. The sculptures are distributed without signs of the entire estate. It was the first such sculpture park in Scotland and was built from 1951 to 1976 in collaboration with Henry Moore. The park was later used as a model for the park Little Sparta Ian Hamilton Finlay Scottish sculptor.
