Glenn Hartranft

Glenn Hartranft ( Samuel Glenn " Tiny" Hartranft; born December 3, 1901 in Aberdeen, South Dakota; † August 12, 1970 ) was an American shot putter and discus thrower.

At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, he won silver in the shot put and finished sixth in the discus throw. On 2 May 1925, he raised in San Francisco the world record of his compatriot Thomas Lieb by 28 centimeters to 47.89 meters. In the same year he was starting for Stanford University NCAA champion in the shot put.
