Gmina Gorzyce, Silesian Voivodeship
Gorzyce ( German United Gorschütz ) is a gmina ( rural municipality ) in the powiat Wodzisławski in the Polish province of Silesia and the seat of the municipality, but not its largest district.
The Gmina Gorzyce has 20,199 inhabitants (31 December 2010 ) with an area of 64.47 km ²
Attractions
At the beginning of the 20th century was the newly ennobled, secret of Commerce and industrialist Friedrich von Friedlaender - Fuld build two castles in Great Gorschütz. You are one kilometer apart and together with the linking landscape park they are under monument protection.
The castle from 1912 is an annular system with centrally set, gate tower. This is completed by an onion dome that originally corresponded with the increased mansard roofs of the pavilions at the ends of the building. Just as the rest of the system they were raised recently on two floors. The design in neo-baroque forms delivered Paul Schultze- Naumburg. The castle is located in a poor condition.
The hunting lodge was designed by Berlin architect William Mueller and was built from 1907 to 1908. The Mittelrisalite are each highlighted by a triangular pediment and crest cartridges and window garlands - the few decorative elements of the simple construction. For entrance toward a balcony there is also appropriate to make the garden a columned portico and a sweeping curved staircase are upstream.
Geography
The municipality is located in southern Poland on the border with the Czech Republic.
When the district Olza the Olsa (Polish Olza ) flows into the Oder.

Traffic
The district Olza has a station on the railway line between 158 Wodzisław Slaski and the border station Chałupki.
The Autostrada A1 ends in Gorzyce and the highway Droga Krajowa 78 runs close past the church.
