Gmina Jeleśnia

Jeleśnia is a rural municipality in the powiat Żywiecki in the Polish province of Silesia, Poland.

From 1975 to 1998 Jeleśnia belonged to the Bielsko- Biała Voivodeship.

Geography

Jeleśnia is located 74 km south-east of Katowice, 12 km south-east of Żywiec and 65 km south-west of Krakow. At the rivers Sopotnia and Koszarawa.

The municipality had 31 December 2009, 13,385 inhabitants.
