Gold Coast legislative election, 1956

The elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Gold Coast in 1956 were held on July 17. The number of voters is given in estimates with approximately 1,390,000. Overall, in these elections 104 seats went. Winner of the election was the Convention People's Party of the later Prime Minister, Kwame Nkrumah.
