Gonzalo Barreto

Gonzalo Barreto Gonzalo Barreto Mastropierro full name, (* January 22, 1992 in Montevideo ) is an Uruguayan football player.

Association

The 1.73 -meter offensive athlete Barreto was the beginning of his career at least in the Apertura 2009 at the squad of the Uruguayan first division side Danubio. For the Montevideaner he ran into a play in the Primera División on. This league debut, he celebrated 23 August 2009 under coach Jorge Giordano in the encounter against the Tacuarembó FC when he came on in the 77 minutes for Hamilton Ricard. At the turn of 2009/10 he moved then to Italy Lazio Rome, where the Uruguayan signed a five -year contract. He has not been used in Serie A. In the season 2012/13 he stood in rows of U.S. Salernitana. However, he did not receive operating time. Then he returned to Lazio.

Barreto is described as technically strong player who has excellent dribbling skills and has been compared to Mauro Zárate and Ernesto Chevantón.

National

Barreto was part of the banns of the Uruguayan U -17 at the U- 17 World Cup Nigeria 2009. In the tournament, he was used three times. A goal he did not achieve it.

Others

In July 2010, Barreto fell by a tragic event in the family circle in the headlines. His mother, who at the time 47 - jährge Notary Yanela Mastropierro, had been stabbed to death in Treinta y Tres by her partner. The significant other then hanged himself.
