Gonzalo Castro Irizábal
Gonzalo Castro Irizabal ( born September 14, 1984 in Trinidad, Uruguay) is an Uruguayan footballer who plays in La Liga with Real Sociedad.
Playing career
Association
The Uruguayan Gonzalo Castro, who received his education at the escuela " Juana de Ibarburu " in Flores and then at the local Liceo 1 and 2, began playing football at porongos in his native city. He then worked at the local club Nacional, and in Durazno. At age 17 he moved to Montevideo. There coach Daniel Carreño brought him into the first team Nacional's where he made his debut in 2002 and played until 2007. With the Bolsos he was three championships (2002, 2005, 2005 /06) win. His performances in South America did not escape even the European clubs, so RCD Mallorca in the summer of 2007 was allowed to announce his commitment. Since the 2012/13 season he stands in rows Real sociedads and completed in the last season 31 games in the Liga BBVA, in which he scored seven goals. In the current season 2013/14 he came up to his last league provisionally use on 9 February 2014 at 15 other league inserts ( one goal). He also completed two matches in the qualifying and five games in the main competition of the Champions League.
National
" Chory " Castro made his debut on 17 August 2005 in the discharged in Gijón friendly match against Spain's selection under coach Jorge Fossati in the Uruguayan national football team. He was in the starting, but was replaced at half-time against Mario Regueiro. On 26 October 2005, he came to another use in Celeste, as he played the second half in the 1-3 defeat against Mexico. His third international game he graduated at Coach Óscar Washington Tabarez - also as a substitute at half-time - in the 0-2 defeat on 15 November 2006 against the time supervised by Klaus Toppmöller national team of Georgia. Then followed a long international break, before he was first reinstated on November 14, 2012 in the match against Poland. His fifth and so far last game for the national team, he played on February 6, 2013. Opponent at this meeting was Spain.
