Gonzalo Gerardo Higuaín ( born December 10, 1987 in Brest, France ) is a French -Argentine football player.
Career
Association
Higuaín arrived in Brest, France to the world. His father Jorge Higuaín was active at this time at the Stade Brest as a player. His parents moved with him to Argentina when he was ten months old. National
Because Higuaín was born in France, he has a French passport. In November 2006 he was nominated by the French team manager Raymond Domenech for a match of the national team against Greece, but declined to use because he preferred to play for Argentina. On 10 October 2009, he finally celebrated his debut against Peru in the national team of Argentina.
As expected, he was nominated for the FIFA World Cup 2010. In the second group match of the Argentine selection, he scored three goals against South Korea in a 4-1 success. In the next round against Mexico, he scored the intermediate 2:0 ( Full 3:1). In the quarterfinals, he failed with Argentina to Germany.
