Gonzalo Sorondo

Gonzalo Sorondo Amaro ( born October 9, 1979 in Montevideo) is an Uruguayan football player.

Association

The center-back started his career in 1997 Defensor Sporting. In 2001 he moved to Serie A Inter Milan. In the season 2003/ 04 he played for Standard Liège. 20 games ( no goals ) are available for Sorondo in the 2004/05 season at Crystal Palace in the English Premier League to book. In the following two seasons, he joined Charlton Athletic and came up with eight Erstligaeinsätze (no gate). For Clausura Apertura and 2007, he moved back in the Uruguayan Primera División to Defensor Sporting. In the same year he left his native country again, this time to the Brazilian club SC Internacional to join. For the Brazilians, he celebrated the greatest success of his career when he won the Copa Libertadores with his club in 2010. In the course of this competition in the quarter- final against the Argentine team Estudiantes de La Plata he also achieved a hit. National

Sorondo played in the U-20 national team of Uruguay and has been using this for the U-20 South American Championship 1999 in Argentina Vice - South American champions. He also took part in Nigeria at the Junior World Cup in 1999. Sorondo was also a member of the Uruguayan national team, and completed by his debut on 15 August 2000 until his last mission on 17 August 2005 27 international matches ( no goals ).
