Göran Hagberg

Göran Hagberg ( born November 8, 1947 in Bjuv ) is a former Swedish football player and coach.

Career

Playing career

Hagberg played until 1965 in his home at Bjuvs IF. He then went to Landskrona BoIS, where he played until 1968. In 1969 he moved to the reigning Swedish champions Östers IF in the Allsvenskan. By 1979, the goalkeeper denied 242 games in the Swedish House of Lords. He could celebrate winning the 1977 Swedish Cup and a year later the Swedish championship title. In 1980 he went to unterklassigen Alvesta GIF, where he worked as a game coach. 1982 celebrated a brief comeback in the Allsvenskan as he stood between the posts ten times for AIK Solna. He then joined as player-coach to Ljungby IF, where he ended his active career at the end of the season 1983.

Between 1973 and 1979 tended Hagberg 15 times the Swedish goal. As a substitute, he participated in the World Championships in 1974 and 1978.

Coaching career

After ending his playing career Hagberg moved to the dugout. Already from 1980 to 1982 and 1983, he was playing coach. From 1986 he was responsible for IFK Värnamo. Subsequently, he was from 1990 to 1992 coach at Myresjö IF. In 1993, he was active in Karlskrona AIF again as a game coach. After the season he returned to Ljungby where he worked until 1996. 1997 he was with Myresjö IF, 1998 Vislanda IF.
