Gordon Duncan (piper)

Gordon Duncan (* 1964, † 14 December, 2005 Edradour ) was a Scottish bagpipe player. His first teacher of this instrument was Bill Hepburn ( the former Pipe Major of The Turriff and District Pipe Band ), and later his father and his older brother Ian Duncan. Gordon Duncan took, inter alia, with the bands Wolf Stones, Tannahill Weavers, Ceolbeg and the Dougie MacLean band on. Was also very successful solo career.

It was known to be protracted struggle with alcoholism. Gordon Duncan took on 14 December 2005 in his home in Edradour, Pitlochry, Perthshire life. The funeral took place on 21 December 2005, surrounded by his family in the Church of Scotland in Pitlochry instead.
