Gordon Dunn

In 1936, he won the U.S. eliminator for the Olympic Games in Berlin, where he left his compatriot Ken Carpenter ( 50.48 m ) and before the Italian Giorgio Oberweger won ( 49.23 m) 49.36 m silver medal.

In 1934, he was starting for Stanford University, NCAA champion. Three times he was national runner-up in the discus throw (1934-1936) and twice in the shot put (1933, 1935).

From 1949 to 1957 he was mayor of Fresno.
