Gordon Jennings
Gordon Jennings ( born June 25, 1896 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, as Henry Gordon Jennings; † January 11, 1953 in Hollywood, California ) was an American trick technician.
Life
Gordon Jennings was initially an engineer before he went in 1919 as a camera assistant to Hollywood. Later he devoted himself to the knitting technology. The idea of introducing moving titles in opening and closing credits of a film, came from him. Jennings worked primarily for the Paramount and directed since 1933 the special effects department.
